Crafting stations
Build the stations that unlock new recipes.
Press C to open crafting. You can make some recipes by hand. For the rest, place the required station and stand near it. Its recipes will become available in the menu.
Recipes and stations
- Hand: Recipes with no station, including the workbench.
- Bench: Recipes for early tools, ranged weapons, the Weapon Upgrade Table, torch devices, and pipes. Make a workbench from 4 Wood + 2 Stone.
- Anvil: Make it at a bench from 3 Copper + 2 Wood.
- Chemistry Bench: Process glass and ceramics.
- Assembly Table: Make advanced weapons and machines.
- Blast Furnace: Building it requires the Forge Core, which drops from the layer 1 boss. The Forge Core has no crafting recipe.
If a recipe is greyed out even though you have the materials, check its station page to see which station it needs. Stand next to the station, rather than on top of it, to craft. The Recipes index lists all recipes across hand crafting and the five stations. Each material page also lists what you can make with that material.
Stations are placed materials. You can mine one back up to move it, but it can also be buried, burned, or drowned. Keep your workbench away from your fire.
